Seafood Expo North America 2025: Three Days at Booth 1033 in Boston

From 16 to 18 March 2025, the TBESFOOD team spent three days at Booth 1033 at Seafood Expo North America, inside the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. It was the show's 43rd edition and a big one. About 20,000 seafood professionals came through the doors, and 1,215 companies from 51 countries were exhibiting, according to the organiser, Diversified Communications.

Outside it was a Boston March, so most of our visitors arrived in winter coats. Inside, we travelled with the VASEP delegation but ran our own stand, next to the Vietnam Seafood pavilion and other exporters from home. That made Booth 1033 an easy stop for buyers already walking the Vietnamese section of the hall.

A freezer full of conversations

We built the booth around a glass-top freezer, and it pulled people in from the aisle. Visitors leaned over the glass to read the labels on raw, cooked and NBS vannamei shrimp, pangasius steaks and breaded pangasius fingers. Most conversations started with one pack and one question. What size is this? How much glaze? Which market is it packed for? From there we could talk specifications and packing with the product right in front of us.

• Vannamei shrimp: raw, cooked and NBS, in tray packs
• Pangasius: steaks and breaded pangasius fingers
• Frozen longan and passion fruit cubes

The wall behind us

Our backdrop carried the line "Your gateway to seafood excellence" and put the registrations buyers ask about first where everyone could read them: our FDA number, EU code DL 417 and GACC registration for China, next to our Halal, HACCP, BRC and Sedex marks.

The faces at Booth 1033

Our photos tell the story better than we can. Buyers holding up the #TBESFOOD and #Grown in trust signs, groups of four squeezing in front of the backdrop for one more picture, quick conversations in the aisle beside the stand. Plenty of visitors walked off with one of our blue TBES tote bags over a shoulder.
