TBESFOOD supplies frozen squid tubes from Vietnam, graded by length and packed IQF, semi-IQF or block for foodservice and processing buyers.

Squids live in the depth of less than 100m from the surface and are sensitive with change of hydrologic condition, climate and light, hence their migration is based on the season, day and night. In Vietnam, squids are caught from the north to central and south provinces. Season: Squids is available all year round. However, there are two main fishing seasons: from December to April in the North and from June to September in the South.

Tubes are graded by length, usually 8–10 cm, 10–12 cm and 13–15 cm. IQF and semi-IQF suit foodservice kitchens that portion by the piece; block frozen suits processors who thaw in bulk for rings, strips or breaded lines.

Glaze and net weight are fixed in the contract, as are carton labelling and the destination market’s requirements. Tell us your target size and packing and we will match it to the season’s catch.

Do you supply squid rings or only whole tubes?

Our standard offer is cleaned tubes graded by length. Rings, strips and other cuts can be discussed per order, with the cut, size and packing agreed in the specification.
