Clams are graded by pieces per kilogram: 40/60, 60/80 and 80/100. The standard pack is a 1 kg vacuum bag, IQF at 100% net weight, ten bags to a 10 kg carton. Other packs can be agreed.

Whole-shell clams go to restaurants, soups and pasta lines. Processors buying for meat extraction should state yield expectations in the specification.
