Frozen Seafood from Vietnam for Australia and New Zealand
Australia has some of the strictest seafood import rules in the world, above all for raw prawns. That makes cooked vannamei the natural shrimp line for Australian buyers, alongside pangasius fillets and barramundi for retail and fish-and-chip shops.

What we supply to Australia and New Zealand
Import rules we work to
Biosecurity for prawns
Uncooked prawns face strict import conditions and border testing for white spot disease. Cooked prawns and highly processed prawn products enter under simpler conditions, which is why most Vietnamese shrimp for Australia ships cooked.
Imported food inspection
Seafood is checked at the border under Australia's imported food inspection scheme. Each shipment travels with an official health certificate from Vietnam.
Tariffs and labels
Under AANZFTA and CPTPP, duties on most Vietnamese seafood into Australia and New Zealand have been removed. Retail packs must show the country of origin.
Shipping: 40 ft reefer containers to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle and Auckland, on FOB, CFR or CIF terms. Certificates and plant registration numbers are on our Quality page.
